Demetrius K. I hold the firm belief that people are perfectly imperfect and often become stuck in life’s challenges, causing unhappiness and an inability to live fulfilling lives. I am integrative in my approach to therapy, consisting of solution-focused, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused therapy encourages individuals to construct solutions rather than focusing on the presenting problems. This short-term, goal-oriented approach to therapy allows one to develop a preferred future by seeing how life will be different when the issue is gone or the situation is improved.

Narrative

Narrative therapy teaches and encourages individuals to view themselves as separate from their problems by separating presenting issues from their personalities. This approach to therapy helps people become experts in their stories.
