EMDR (eye-movement reprocessing and desensitization) is a type of trauma treatment that doesn’t require reliving in detail the traumatic events. Instead, we focus on changing the emotions, thoughts or behaviors that result from a distressing experience via bilateral stimulation to allow your brain to resume a natural healing process.
At my core as a clinician, I believe you are capable and the expert of yourself. Working together, we will build a safe space to process what needs attention and direction to change.
Learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives.
