Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas and Missouri. I received a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Webster University and I have been practicing for many years. I'm also currently achieving a doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology as well. I help children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and many more.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm and confidential environment where we'll discuss their goals, concerns, and what brings them to therapy. We'll explore initial thoughts and feelings, and I'll provide an overview of the therapeutic process. Together, we'll begin to build a trusting relationship and outline a personalized plan for their journey towards positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a mental health therapist include empathetic listening, creating a non-judgmental space, and tailoring evidence-based interventions to meet individual needs. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship to empower clients on their path to personal growth and well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice as an effective therapeutic approach. This method focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors to promote positive changes. Through collaborative efforts with clients, we work together to develop coping strategies and cultivate healthier perspectives, ultimately fostering personal growth and improved mental well-being.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my practice, emphasizing mindfulness, acceptance of thoughts and feelings, and commitment to value-driven actions. This approach helps clients develop psychological flexibility, enabling them to live more meaningful lives by embracing challenges and pursuing valued goals despite inner struggles.

Motivational Interviewing

I leverage Motivational Interviewing in my practice to facilitate client-centered conversations that explore and strengthen motivation for positive change. By employing reflective listening and collaborative goal-setting, I help clients overcome ambivalence and enhance their intrinsic motivation, fostering a supportive environment for sustainable behavioral transformations.
