I earned an Ed.M in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have held my NYS Mental Health Counselor License for over 25 years. I am also bilingual English and Spanish for clients who may have a preference or would like to have the option to express their thoughts and feelings in either or both languages

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then explore specific challenges and goals. This will help me develop a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Providing and maintaining a safe and non-judgmental space fosters an open dialogue and a healthy professional therapist and client connection.

I am a compassionate, empathetic and intuitive licensed mental health counselor. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to embark on their journey of self-discovery which will allow them to make changes that will ultimately make them feel better and inspired to accomplish their goals. My approach is collaborative and I utilize an eclectic combination of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and insight oriented therapy. I work with a diverse population treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues and trauma. I particularly enjoy supporting and working with adolescents and young adults who may be initially hesitant to try talk therapy. I truly believe that therapy is the best gift that we can give ourselves.
