I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida specializing in providing counseling services to teens and adults. I received my Masters from Albizu University and have been practicing for 3 years. I offer my clients unconditional support without judgment and a safe place to work through challenges. I help individuals to listen to the signs that they receive from their inner world, understanding that their feelings and experiences are there to teach them and not harm them.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor of the therapeutic process. In the first session, we would get to know each other. I believe it is important for trust to be established and for the client to have the space to decide whether we should work together or not. I would also dive into the challenges you’re facing at the moment so that we can prioritize your needs and address your concerns.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my empathy and ability to connect with individuals from different walks of life. I’m also knowledgeable and flexible, so I’m able to adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and preferences.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a modality that assists us to modify and replace negative thoughts patterns and behaviors. The basic idea is that our thoughts about a situation can affect how we feel and act. At the end of the day, our thoughts create our reality.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I would create a supportive and understanding environment for you to explore your feelings and thoughts. The key idea is that you, as the client, are the expert on your own life. The goal is to help you develop a stronger sense of self and become more aware of your feelings and experiences.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I would help you accept the difficulties and challenges in your life while committing to making positive changes by encouraging you to accept your thoughts and feelings instead of fighting against them. ACT incorporates mindfulness, the importance of values and commitment to taking action towards building a meaningful life.
