LCSW, 8 years of experience
I’m a queer therapist who shows up with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ folks of all ages who are navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, depression, and the lasting impacts of trauma. Therapy with me is collaborative and real—I aim to create a space where you don’t have to explain the basics of who you are, and where your full self is welcomed. My work is shaped not just by clinical training, but by lived experience within the queer community and a commitment to anti-oppressive practice. Over the years, I’ve supported clients in community mental health, non-profit, and private practice settings. I currently offer virtual sessions to clients across Virginia.
In our first session together, we will start with introductions, and then explore the challenges you are facing through an initial intake assessment. The intake process will help me get to know you as a whole person. We will develop goals for therapy and create a plan to achieve those goals that is unique to your needs.
Knowing that many clients won't fit into a "one size fits all" approach, I incorporate various evidence-based approaches into treatment. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where you are the expert in your own life. We will work together to identify goals and explore and build upon your strengths so that you feel capable and confident to handle life's challenges.
I love working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are eager to make change but may be feeling stuck with the "how". They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, or big life changes.
