Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both California and Texas. I received my master's from Notre Dame de Namur and have been practicing for 13 years. I help adults who are struggling with intense emotions or in the midst of a major life change, to find balance again in their life. My goal is to support clients in living their most authentic life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be focused on building trust and a safe space for you to discuss your reason for seeking therapy. We will review confidentiality, session intervals and how I can support your mental health journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As your therapist, my main goal, is to provide a safe space, with unconditional positive regard, allowing you to work through your own journey of healing and finding motivation to work though life’s hurdles.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have a clinical background working with adults (18 and older) in inpatient, outpatient, private practice as well as working with youth in the school systems. I work well with individuals who are motivated to make change in their life but struggle to find the path forward. I have worked with client's who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, trauma, or stress from relationship challenges. I use an eclectic approach, that combines various interventions that will be specifically altered to meet your needs.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize person-centered approach in sessions as I believe the client is the expert in their life. This provides the client the ability to lead each session, while the therapist takes a non-directive role.

Motivational Interviewing

I utilized motivational interviewing to build rapport and explore parts of a client's life that may need further processing

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT during sessions to support changes in how thoughts and perspective of events can change how we feel. When negative thoughts impact our life, it can be difficult to make change as well as have a positive outcome.
