Whether it is anxiety, depression, grief/loss, burnout, relationships, family conflict, parenting issues, or managing emotions, you are desiring something different, and better. Because life is a journey and not a destination, how YOU define your past, identify YOUR present, and see YOUR future is important. Additionally, the tools you use to navigate your experiences aid in the outcomes of your life. Peace is possible. Wellness is possible. Life will not stop happening in the journey; however, you get to decide and define what wellness is for you. Hello, I'm Robinette H. Dotson, MSEd, LCMHC, LPC, with two decades of experience assisting individuals to navigate life obstacles. I have a passion for assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, and life adjustments to achieve their overall vision of wellness via evidenced-based therapy and/or Christian faith-based therapy. What you can expect is a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that allows you to "be" you. In this space, you give yourself grace and permission to heal, grow and develop toward overall wellness. As you embrace the therapy process, growth and development are possible while navigating life obstacles toward wellness. The journey of wellness starts with you and continues because of you as long as you doing it FOR YOU. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you in your wellness journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, there will be brief introductions, followed with the opportunity for me to get to learn what brings you to the therapy experience at this time. Afterward, we will discuss the goals that you specifically want to reach, and then discuss what days and times are best for you for future appointments. Last but not least, you will have your first homework assignment!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy Christian Faith-Based Therapy and Mindfulness. Primarily all sessions are foundationally person-centered; however, other treatment methods are utilized based on your specific needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is creating a non-judgmental and safe space for you to just "be". Creating this space, and asking you the right questions will provide you with the opportunity to grace yourself the permission to personally develop toward wellness, healing and transformation.
