Hello! My name is Jordan. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I am motivated to help individuals and families build healthier relationships with themselves and the people around them. Being open and vulnerable with someone new can be very scary! My goal is to create a meaningful relationship with my clients by providing support, respect, and a safe environment to help build confidence, compassion, and resilience. I support clients who experience anxiety, depression, past trauma, non-traditional relationships, and neurodivergence. I also support families who are struggling with parent-child conflicts, LGBTQ+ youth and how to support them, and young children with behavior problems. If you find yourself suffering in your relationships or life in general, let’s work as a team to find helpful solutions! Together, we can build tools and work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your struggles, help you to deal with life’s hardships, and support you building meaningful social connections and relationships. It is important to me that you know I am human too, so from me, you will receive authenticity, humor, and realness. I have experience working in community mental health and school based counseling. I enjoy working with children, teens and adults. I am always attempting to grow my knowledge in many areas within the mental health field, as I know generations, cultures, trends and humans are always evolving. I have a huge passion for learning through experiencing new cultures. I have been fortunate enough to volunteer in five different countries around the world and I feel I have grown both professionally and personally during all of these opportunities. I look forward to supporting you in whatever hopes, dreams and goals you have for yourself.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with young professionals for the past 7 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. Although I have experience with all age groups, I feel working with young adults is one of my biggest strengths.
I often work with: -Adults, eager to learn and process through life struggles. -Teens struggling with self esteem, anxiety or social pressures of life -Children with behavioral struggles age 4-12 and their parents -Children with ADHD, anxiety or trauma. -LGBTQ+ youth or adults
I am trained in CBT and have been using it for the majority of my career as a clinician to help improve mental health and well- being by addressing unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behaviors people struggle with.
I am trained in TF-CBT to help clients who have experienced trauma process traumatic memories and feelings, develop coping skills, and restore normal well-being in the world.
I have been trained in PCIT to help support and improve the behavior and relationship between children and their parents. This approach is used with children ages 2-8 with their parents participation.
