I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, EAP Counselor and have served as a Military & Family Life Counselor on many military bases in Texas for many years. I possess extensive clinical, behavioral health and crisis response experience, industrial/organizational psychology experience, leadership skills, management experience, real estate experience, sales experience, professional business experience in addition to my extensive academic background. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling and extensive experience in Industrial & Organizational Psychology. Generally speaking, I utilize principle-driven, protocol-driven, utilizing Rogerian Theory, Motivational Interviewing, CBT and active listening. I will convey empathy and positive regard to assist with establishing, building and hopefully maintaining a healthy therapeutic rapport with my client/patient during the initial session and sessions thereafter. I will strategically assist my clients/patients with establishing healthy and productive coping skills regarding dealing with MH/BH and/or medical DX, managing emotions and establishing healthy coping skills during our sessions as needed.
