Welcome! My name is Dr. Xavbryelle Warren, LPC. I have 4 years of experience as a mental health therapist and have been a school counselor for the last 12 years. I have obtained my PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior. I have a Master's in School Counseling, Licensed Professional Counseling, and a Bachelor's in Sociology. I am also a Navy Veteran. Within those twelve years, I have worked in elementary, middle, and high school at some point, but I have been in high school for the last 8 years. My approach to counseling is non-judgmental, genuine, and direct. If my appointment times do not work for you, feel free to send me a message and we can discuss alternate dates and times.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, we will talk about some of the main reasons you have taken the first step to seek therapy. We will also talk in-depth about what you would like your therapeutic journey to look like. Then, we will work together to create a plan that works for you will achievable goals to work on throughout the journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Being a school counselor for the last 12 years has exposed me to working with each generation and learning how they have changed over time as far as their wants, needs, and some of the issues they are facing. I have been a therapist in a number of different settings as well which helps me to relate with older adults seeking mental health services.

My treatment methods

Adlerian

This therapy is based on trust and explores one's childhood to offer insight on your worldview as well as certain perspectives. In practice, it can be used to help reorient a person within their community, family, or society to recreate a sense of belonging.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on changing your patterns of thinking and recognizing cognitive distortions that may exacerbate problems and help to reevaluate them from a different perspective in hopes of finding some clarity. In practice, this can take form in many different ways such as exposure therapy, journaling, and adjusting negative thinking habits.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is similar to the name of the method in that it is short-term goal-focused and evidence based. The main premise of this approach is finding solutions rather than focusing on the problems. I use it in practice often to help build therapeutic relationship and show progress.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is talk therapy where the client does most of the talking. In practice, I use this method for clients who show a need for it. Therapy is non-judgmental and I want to be sure you are being heard and understood.
