I am a Latinx, queer, disabled person who has been practicing psychotherapy for over 11 years specializing in trauma-informed care and chronic illness within Spanish-speaking queer communities. I have a direct, holistic and affirming therapeutic approach rooted in my commitment to anti-colonialism and intersectional healing. I am most passionate about working with other folks from similar populations to increase their quality of life and well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I provide an overview of my therapeutic style and approach to outpatient telehealth therapy services. Ideally we both utilize this time to determine if we are the right fit for the work you'd like to do. I am humble enough to know I am not the right therapist for everyone and I want you to heal whether I am your provider or not.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My unique experience as a Latinx, queer, disabled person informs all aspects of my clinical work, utilizing intersectional and integrative treatments for each client. I work collaboratively with my clients to assist them in identifying their goals for therapy and how to reach them, utilizing my professional training combined with your expertise in your own lived experience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am particularly interested in working with other queer Latinx and Spanish speaking folks who are living with ADHD.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care recognizes the structural and pervasive impact trauma has on individuals and systems, and focuses on the strengths of individuals and communities for recovery. Trauma informed care focuses on the healing and recovery while minimizing the potential for traumatization, incorporating key elements such as emotional safety and mindfulness techniques.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy focuses on the connection between an individual's early attachment experiences with primary caregivers and their ability to develop healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult. Attachment-based therapy aims to build or rebuild a trusting, supportive relationship that will assist in mental health and overall recovery.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy encourages clients to develop awareness of their emotions and process unresolved feelings. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are client self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. This process can improve a client’s relationships and strengthen their self-awareness.
