Thanks for visiting my profile. Your illness does not define you. Your strength and courage do. Now is the time to make your mental health a priority. I am a board-certified mental health care professional dedicated to providing individualized care to all people across the lifespan. My professional role as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner involves caring for society's most vulnerable citizens. I have experience with patients in all settings. With roots in New York and a current residence in Georgia, my vision is to make mental health care more accessible to everyone. I treat patients of all ages and am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, medication management, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, sleep disorders, stress, trauma, PTSD, impulse and control disorders, and mood disorders. Outside of work, I am a mother of four. I am an Army veteran who enjoys reading, cooking, crocheting, spending time with my family and watching football.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After a thorough initial evaluation, treatment recommendations always include therapeutic and behavioral interventions, as well as a medication plan if warranted and based on patient preference. I empower all my patients to make choices and decisions on what is right for them.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Services I offer include diagnostic assessment, medication management and psychotherapy. Diagnostic assessment helps identify the cause of your troubles. Medication management to address those issues if appropriate and therapy to help you work through the troubles. Medication can often provide significant alleviation of symptoms, allowing people to move beyond their symptoms and live their lives more fully. Psychotherapy aims to enable patients, or clients, to recognize both positive and negative feelings, and what triggers or situations can make them feel good, nervous, or depressed. This allows them to cope with difficulties in a more constructive way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in evidence based psychiatric treatment for a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, Bipolar and psychosis. My goal is to provide an environment that is educational, free from judgement and accessible from the comfort of your own space. Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going. I’m here to help you navigate.
