My specialty is treating mental health concerns through individual therapy in a holistic manner, emphasizing trauma work utilizing various options of evidence-based psychotherapy such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), racial trauma therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing (MI). In addition, I hope to come alongside Black women, Black folks, members of the LGBTQ+ community, transracially adopted and displaced people, and those who have experienced spiritual abuse in their healing journeys.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Therapy, simply talking to a person that is committed to coming alongside you with empathy, compassion, and understanding, is an important tool that can be a stepping stone to continued healing. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into what brings you to therapy. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
One of my greatest strengths is that I am empathetic, compassionate, and understanding. I cultivate a virtual space for healing so that I can come alongside you in a meaningful, helpful, and appropriate way.
