Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. I continue to work with clients throughout Florida and have been doing so for the past 7 years. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication skills & set boundaries with themselves and those around them. Together we will work to help improve your quality of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will do brief introductions. I will gather some general information about you and what bring you to therapy. By understanding your past, it will inform your present. We will collaborate to set realistic, attainable goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with clients of varying ages from diverse backgrounds, I have developed a culturally sensitive perspective on addressing common mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Individuals are part of families and everyone has a story to tell. Through my work over the past 7 years, I am able to help clients such as yourself, retell their stories through healing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with people from diverse backgrounds that are here and ready to do “the work”. Whether there are strong defenses or resistances, I will always roll with it and help support you through that work. The hardest step to take is to show up so if you continue to do so I will do the same.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Psychoeducation

Education is power and in my sessions, providing clients with psychoeducation is imperative to positive treatment outcomes. The goal of psychoeducation is to help the client understand and cope with their diagnoses as well as improve treatment adherence, as clients who understand their treatment are better able to follow through on recommendations.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have used solution-focused brief treatment to help clients construct solutions instead of focusing on problems. Using a collaborative approach to treatment, my goal is to place you back in the driver’s seat, taking control and moving forward in a positive direction.
