Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Art Therapist based in Illinois. I received my Counseling and Art Therapy Master's degree from Adler University. I provide a culturally sensitive and trauma informed approach to therapy to provide empathy, understanding and a safe space for you to process you experiences through talk therapy or art making. I mostly work with those who have experienced childhood and sexual trauma.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will do brief introductions, including going over my practice, modality, and setting the structure for therapy. We also will go over most present concerns for you and start to set goals for treatment. During the end of session we will go over any questions or concerns you have, and see if this feels like a good fit for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Providing a trauma-informed, safe, and non-judgmental space has created a space for my client's to be able to address difficult experiences, attachment issues and trauma. With my culturally sensitive lens, it provides a safe space for all identities and intersecting identities to process the ways in which they are seen in the world, and how that impacts experiences.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I provide psycho-education around attachment style, and invite my clients into exploration around early attachments and relationships, and how they affect current attachments.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I focus on a multi-cultural approach and through an intersectional lens. We all have intersecting identities that impact our experiences, and may experience intersecting oppressions and privileges.

Gender-affirming therapy

I work through a gender-affirming lens and explore with clients parts of their gender identity and/or gender dysphoria.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice through a trauma-informed lens, with the knowledge that we may all go through stressful or traumatic events in our lives that shape our current experiences and interactions.

Psychoeducation

I add in psycho-education into my practice to teach coping skills, explore attachment, and identify trauma responses.
