About me

Hello, my name is Marjorie Rice. Are you looking for a dedicated therapist with a background working with individuals of all ages? Then I may be the right fit for your needs. I've been a social worker in Nashville, TN for eight years and am the mother of two adult children. My practice is open, diverse, and focused on meeting my clients where they are. I enjoy being creative in the modalities I employ including, but not limited to the following: CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Whether you suffer from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ challenges or an unhealthy family dynamic, I am here to offer support as we, together, identify what's not working and how to create change. I love sharing my passion for mindfulness techniques such as meditation, yoga and grounding techniques. I am committed to providing quality mental health services through evidence-based practices.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will focus on building rapport and trust by talking and getting to know one another. As your therapist, I'd like to learn more about why you are seeking therapy, and what outcomes you'd like to achieve. I try to make our time together as comfortable as possible, with you determining the pace and focus of our session. Towards the end of our first session, we will discuss next steps for moving forward in therapy and assess for any resources that may be helpful to you, the client, in between session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As cliche as it sounds, my Enneagram reflects my strengths as Peace Maker, Enthusiast, and Helper. My background in crisis work has exposed me to many different profiles and circumstances, so I value an unbiased approach. At the end of the day, I hope to be a catalyst to my client's joy and emotional well-being.
