I'm proud of you. Awareness is the first step and searching for a therapist means you are already on a path to self-betterment. My role is to be a companion, someone to walk that path with you and help unlock personal insights and perspectives to improve your quality of life. Change is the unknown, so it is scary and difficult. We can become too comfortable in our routine of life, but your presence here means you are ready for the next adventure. Allow me to connect with you to fulfill my life's purpose and help you reach your full potential. You are not alone and you are cared for, even by people you haven't met yet. Licensed as both a Professional Counselor and a Marriage & Family Therapist, I bring knowledge and experience from both fields into my work. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and couples with issues related to anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. Life can get complicated, so it helps to consider things from all angles. Change is possible. Your current circumstances do not have to dictate your future. "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." - Christopher Robin. When you're ready, check out my website or give me a call. You decide when the rest of your life begins. I hope it's soon and I look forward to hearing from you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A first session typically involves me beginning to learn about you, your history, and your present circumstances. Our therapeutic environment will feel warm and safe as we delve into vulnerable areas and begin to connect.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I focus primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and existential therapy while incorporating family systems theory into my treatment plans. I do my best to provide solution-focused tasks for clients to work on each week, so that therapy and change doesn't end in session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Adolescents: I've been working with adolescents for over 10 years and am adept at forging relationships and connection with people who may feel misunderstood and resistant to therapy. This population tends to respect my transparency, honesty, and directness. I work hard to be the type of mentor for them I never had. Couples: My licensing as both a professional counselor and a marriage & family therapist helps me be a more efficient couples therapist. Couples therapy can be complicated. Each individual's issues must be considered as well as the relationship dynamics at play. I'm adept at comprehensively locating and mapping these so that we can undo this knot together. Adults: The majority of my caseload in individual therapy. Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with adolescents (12+), adults, and couples on issues related to anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. My clients yearn for change, but may need new tools or insights to change their circumstances. They can feel stuck, unfulfilled, and like something is missing from the life they want for themselves. It's important for my clients to come to the table willing to be honest, vulnerable, and to occasionally step outside their comfort zone.
