The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that I have an innate ability to relate to people and meet them where they are. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Used to help people manage their mental health by focusing on how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Essentially, it helps individuals identify and change negative or unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to improve their overall well-being.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

It's about understanding and respecting a client's background, beliefs, and values, tailoring treatment to fit their unique cultural context. It's about acknowledging how culture influences thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and using this understanding to make therapy more effective and comfortable for the client.

Trauma Informed Care

It's about working toward a shift in perspective from "What's wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?". It acknowledges that trauma has a profound impact on individuals and their well-being, and aims to create safe, supportive environments that promote healing and recovery. Instead of assuming a person's behavior is intentional, trauma-informed care considers the potential effects of past trauma on their current actions and reactions.

Grief Therapy

A type of therapy that helps people cope with the emotional pain and distress following a loss, especially the death of a loved one. It provides a safe space to process feelings, learn healthy coping mechanisms, and ultimately, find a way to move forward.

Reality Therapy

A type of counseling that focuses on making better choices to meet your needs. It emphasizes that you are responsible for your own actions and behaviors, and that by changing what you do, you can improve your life. It's based on the idea that you choose your behaviors, and by making different choices, you can better fulfill your needs for things like love, belonging, and happiness.
