Welcome to the first step in this portion of your therapeutic journey! I am Dr. Shanté Bassett, licensed clinical psychologist and CEO of Rapha Mind & Body, LLC. In Hebrew, rapha means “to restore or heal”. Let’s meet and discuss how therapy can start your road to holistic restoration and healing. I am excited to accompany you on your journey of self-exploration, growth, and healing. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, trauma-focused, faith-based, and psychodynamic approaches.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a client, you will find support when the therapeutic process challenges the thoughts/feelings/behaviors that have hindered you and empowerment as you strive to improve and grow. During the first session (after intake), we will collaboratively establish therapeutic goals and discuss how best to pursue those goals.

My goal is to meet every client where they are, tailoring the therapeutic approach to their level of readiness, type of therapeutic goal(s), past experiences, and desired outcomes. The therapeutic process is collaborative, helping the client to build autonomy throughout their journey.

I am passionate about assisting clients who have a history of trauma, perinatal/postpartum mothers, and those with symptoms of anxiety. I also have extensive experience assisting clients with the management of mood and sleep disorders.
