About me

Navigating the ups and downs of life can be difficult. And then you add complex thoughts and emotions to the mix, all the while attempting to find a therapist that can be a good fit for you? Phew, that’s tough. My name is Jason and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I had the privilege of working with clients who all had very diverse backgrounds and were in very different life stages. In each interaction, I tailored my interventions to their specific situation and symptoms. Whether the topics centered around anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues, I ensured the tools we developed were done collaboratively and in a safe space.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our intake, I will ask several questions about you and your history. This will help me better understand where you’re coming from and where we can go for your treatment. I like to begin our intakes with short introductions, a review of the Limits to Confidentiality, and then dive into the topics that are most important to you. We will also cover your overall treatment plan during therapy. After the intake, our sessions will focus on taking steps towards your therapy goals, while learning effective tools to help decrease some symptoms.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Because my previous work has been so diverse these past several years, I treat every single client as the expert in their own lives. I attempt to create a safe space where we can learn, grow and work towards a life you want to build for yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults, whether it's the first time in therapy or have had some experience in it. My clients are hopeful for change and are open to new ideas on how to approach their situations.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When appropriate, I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my sessions. With this approach, I teach my clients how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all interconnected, and how we can alter them for more helpful outcomes. Together, we develop tools so clients can increase their helpful thought patterns in the hopes of decreasing their anxious and depressive symptoms.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Sometimes our emotions can feel so intense that it feels like a storm is brewing inside of us, waiting to sweep us off our feet. Through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I teach my clients various tools so they can make choices that is most helpful for them. These techniques can help us stay grounded as we navigate moments of heightened emotional stress all the while honoring and acknowledging our complex experiences.
