Hello All! My name is Nicole. Do you feel overwhelmed both mentally and physically? Are you not sure what the feelings that you're having are, why you are having them, or don't know how to cope with them? I currently help clients learn about anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. I also help clients identify where these uncomfortable feelings could be coming from and ways that they can manage those feelings to be able to increase their quality of life. I love to work collaboratively with clients to be able to come up with a game plan to get you on the track of self-awareness and self-care. The approach we will use will depend on your needs and expectations in counseling. I like for you to take the lead on the direction of your treatment, and I am here to guide and help in any way that I am able to. Some common types of therapy that we might use together include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Whatever your needs may be, facing that you need help with something that you are struggling with can be intimidating. However, you deserve to be able to grow through what you go through and be able to learn better ways of dealing with what brought you to this website in the first place! I will meet you with empathy, compassion, and understanding to be your partner in working through this. My goal is to be the lantern that guides you through the darkness that you are facing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to take away knowledge about the topic that you are struggling with, where those struggles could be coming from, and ways to cope with those specific struggles. I always tell clients that you have to learn about the problem before you can combat and overcome it!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I like to use techniques and strategies from the following types of therapy: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Some more specific techniques include journaling, thought tracking, and exercises from workbooks that will address your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I would say my biggest strength would be helping clients learn about anxiety, what it could be coming from, and ways to cope with it. I also would say that I am strong with helping the client build better self-awareness.
