Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I have been practicing since 2017 and was fully licensed in 2023. I received my master's degree from the University of Southern California in 2017. I help adults manage their anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and young parents, entering into new phases in their lives.
During a first session, a lot of intake information will be gathered. I will spend time gathering information about you and your history to ensure we can create a treatment plan that best meets your needs. I will also answer any questions you may have and create a safe and secure space for you to share about your life and concerns.
Having nearly 8 years of experience in the field, I have worked with a wide variety of people with various concerns. I feel that my greatest strength is my ability to make my clients feel comfortable and understood, while gently challenging them when needed to see the change they are hoping to see in their lives.
I enjoy working with women and men who are in their early to mid-adulthood. The clients I work with have a desire to make change but often don't know where to start. I am able to provide the tools and space to learn and process whatever comes your way.
I utilize CBT to help individuals see the impact their thinking has on their behaviors and utilize grounding techniques to help individuals shift their thinking patterns. Helping individuals learn and implement coping skills, as well as cognitive reframing, helps them be able to view life in a different way.
I am EMDR trained and utilize EMDR to address individual trauma histories, self-esteem issues, and PTSD symptoms. I have found great success in challenging and replacing negative core beliefs related to traumas, with more adaptive beliefs about oneself.
Utilizing Gottman methods, I work on helping couples find a common ground. I help couples to identify their strengths, while also addressing areas of need in the relationship.
Utilizing DBT skills to help individuals with extreme thinking patterns, I am able to help people regulate their emotions and responses to distressing situations.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I utilize my experience to ensure that individuals have a safe space to process their trauma while feeling supported and heard. Understanding the impact trauma has on an individual's life makes a difference in how well they can respond to the therapeutic setting.
