Welcome, glad to see you’re reaching out for support; a sign of positive mental health! I have over 30 years’ experience in mental, physical and spiritual health care. I am certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. My practice philosophy is holistic, embracing body, mind and spirit to allow for maximum well-being. I have experience in evaluation and treatment of many mental health imbalances including; depression, anxiety, panic, mood disorder, ADD/ADHD, schizophrenia, sleep disorder, eating disorder, behavioral issues associated with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder. My panel includes clients from age 16 years through the geriatric population.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Prior to our first session, I will have reviewed your completed Intake Form, GAD7 and PHQ9; we will go into greater depth in some areas of your history. My goal for our first session is to establish a safe and trusting rapport with my clients. We will be interviewing one another to insure we are suitable for working together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strength is my genuine concern for the health and well- being of clients and their families. I strive to create a relationship in which clients feel comfortable addressing their needs, progress, concerns and questions. My devotion to continuing my professional and personal growth supports my belief in maintaining high standards of care. We all deserve “the best,” and it begins with giving time and attention to ourselves. I believe we are here to help one another on this journey called life….it takes courage to reach out…..and you’re worth it!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my experience I have found many emotional imbalances stem from distorted thought patterns. Helping people to identify distortions and create more realistic /healthier thought patterns positively impacts their self esteem, behaviors and decisions. Using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. Learning to develop a greater sense of confidence in one’s own abilities.
