My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 5 years. It continues to help dozens of clients, challenge their reoccurring thoughts, redirect self-sabotaging behaviors, and manage their anxiety. I use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. I then use that knowledge, to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is best described as being a cheerleader for positive change. It's all about helping you set goals and find the motivation to achieve them. In my practice, I use this approach to guide each individual towards making meaningful improvements in their everyday lives; teaching healthier coping mechanisms and encouraging individuals to focus on their strengths.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Over the past 6 years, I have used Trauma- Focused CBT, to provide individuals with different coping modalities to process their trauma, reduce stressors, and assist with building resilience. I serve as a beacon of support, helping you navigate through those tough times in therapy, emerging stronger and more confident during times of crisis. Some individuals past experiences are associated with trauma and unhealed feelings, which need to be addressed by diving headfirst into those unwanted feelings and peeling back the layers of those emotions. The end result focuses on helping individuals work through their trauma in a safe and supportive environment.

Strength-Based

Strength base therapy within my practice is like shinning a light on your inner strengths and capabilities. Over the past 7 years, I have used this approach to empower individuals to focus on their positive attributes, and work towards tackling their goals with confidence.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy methods focus on improving relationships and communication skills. For the last 6 years I have used approach, helping individuals navigate through their social interactions and build stronger, healthier relationships. My role becomes a facilitator, helping you understand and improve connections with other individuals personally, professionally, and intimately.
