Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Southern California, practicing for the past 10 years. I specialized in co-occurring diagnosis (substance use and mental health disorders). I'm here to support you navigating challenges, building coping skills, and working towards the changes you want to see in your life. We will work together to identify your goals and find strategies that work best for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After the first session, you can expect to have a clear understanding of what brought you into therapy and a sense of direction moving forward. We will discuss your concerns, explore goals, and begin to develop a personalized plan collaboratively. My aim is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and supported while leaving the session with hope.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience in understanding substance use and its intersection with issues like trauma, anxiety, or depression allows me to address the whole person rather than just the symptoms.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialized in working with individuals who are navigating substance use challenges, weather you are seeking recovery, managing relapse, or exploring your relationships with alcohol and/or drugs. I work well with patient at various stages of change, whether you're just starting to think about changes, actively pursuing sobriety, or seeking support in maintaining long-term recovery. If you are also facing challenges with anxiety, depression, or past trauma, together we will address these as part of the healing process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and change negative thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses. Using a collaborative approach to work on restructuring thoughts, behaviors, and increasing problem-solving skills.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is patient-centered and directive approach aimed at enhancing intrinsic motivation for change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. Using open-ended questions and reflections to help patients weigh pros and cons of change. Supporting self-efficacy while developing discrepancies.
