Hello, I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults. I have my doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. Are you or a family member experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges that are negatively affecting you? Are you trying to find a better balance that can lead to increased happiness and more success in your relationships, at work, and/or at school? Making the decision to start therapy can be tough but I am here to support you in your journey to a more fulfilled life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will talk about what brought you to Grow Therapy and what your goals are. I will also ask you about your history, your story. We all have our own unique story that affects our relationships, work life, and decisions that we make throughout life. You will have the opportunity to tell me whatever is most important to share at the start of our work together and ask me questions about my work method. Then, we will begin working together collaboratively so that you can develop the tools to help navigate life's challenges, achieve your goals, and have a better quality of life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am thoughtful, warm, and caring. I approach each client with a keen interest in learning who you are and what your goals are for the therapy. I listen closely so that you feel understood, supported, and truly heard.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love to work with adults of all ages who find themselves in a difficult life transition or overly stressful work and/or home environment. We all have our ups and downs but I like to work with clients who are striving to understand these ups and downs so that they can take more control over their emotional life. This will lead to increased self esteem and happiness.
Psychodynamic
I help clients understand how they can approach their challenges with new insight, skills, and hope which can lead to profound change. I use various psychotherapy approaches that include psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques (MCBT). I approach each client with a keen interest in learning who they are and what their goals are for the therapy.
