You're burnt out. You want to let go of the past, the perfectionism, the people-pleasing. You want freedom from toxic relationships, from energy & expectations that no longer serve you. You want to enjoy your life in the here and now but struggle under the weight of anxiety & familial pressure. If this resonates it’s likely you experienced dysfunctional or even abusive family dynamics growing up and are still in the process of healing. You deserve to live a life free from the burden of trauma--to heal, build healthy relationships, break generational patterns, improve self-esteem, establish clear boundaries, & love the life you've built. I help adults with adolescent and childhood trauma heal emotional wounds and process the past to find peace in the present. I am egalitarian, warm, and collaborative in my approach. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming. I create safe, supportive, and affirming space to process, vent, build coping skills, and improve wellbeing. Authenticity, compassion, and connection shape my approach to care. As someone who has worked through my own traumatic experiences and mental health challenges, I know safe space is key and that it is created through authentic and compassionate human relationships. If this approach feels right to you, I encourage you to book an intake with me.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll take time to get to know one another. I'll create safe space to explore current issues impacting your mental health and find out more about what you hope to get out of therapy. If you're not entirely sure, that's okay too--just show up as you are and I will support you in this process. You will also have the opportunity to ask me any questions and learn more about how I work with clients. I am egalitarian and authentic in my approach to care and will do my very best to make you feel comfortable, safe, and heard.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I take a strengths-based, trauma-informed, affirming approach, and use a blend of therapeutic methods to support clients in reaching their goals. Therapeutic tools and methods I incorporate include cognitive-behavioral and attachment-based approaches, somatic and mindfulness-based tools, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic methods as appropriate.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take a client-centered approach and am passionate about developing healthy interpersonal and relational dynamics, striving to create a supportive space for individuals to have healing conversations. I do not take a cookie-cutter approach and instead pride myself on my integrative approach-- using therapeutic methods tailored to the needs of each client individually.
