I am a first generation, bilingual Latina Therapist and mom. I know first hand what it's like to carry both an emotional load and the unspoken weight of cultural expectations. I created a space where you don't have to choose between your culture and healing. Clients often say they feel heard and less alone in our sessions. I went to CSUN and received my Master's in Social Work. I have since worked with children of all ages, families, and young adults in schools and 1:1 therapy. My treatment areas are: *Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health *Anxiety, Overwhelm, Depression, Burnout, Stress *Caregiver Stress & Sandwich Generation Challenges *Cultural Identity and Generational Trauma *Life Transitions *First- Gen Mental Health experiences

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During a first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where they can freely express their concerns and goals. Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and empowered. Together, we will work on untangling the emotional weight of caregiving, cultural expectations, and life transitions. You'll gain practical tools to manage emotions, set boundaries, and reconnect with your voice and values.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental tone that fosters a sense of safety and trust. I believe in establishing a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. I approach each session with genuine curiosity, actively listening to my clients' experiences and validating their emotions. Clients often describe working with me as a compassionate and empowering journey where they feel seen, heard, and understood. I aim to create a space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions freely while also providing guidance, insights, and practical strategies to navigate their challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My culturally responsive approach honors your roots, lived experiences, and language. My approach is leading with compassion, empathy, and an open mind. I am dedicated to empowering young adults through culturally sensitive mental health services while offering a calm, judgement free space to reconnect with yourself. We will work together to unpack some inherited expectations, ease anxiety, and feelings of sadness, overwhelm, etc. Populations Served: *Women, Mothers *First Gen Daughters *Women Caring for aging parents and children (Sandwich Gen) *First time, New, and Expecting Moms *Adults Navigating culture, identity, and family dynamics

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help first-generation women identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts that contribute to postpartum or general stress, guilt, and self-doubt. I guide clients in recognizing cultural and familial expectations that can influence their thinking patterns and support them in noticing these patterns on their own and practical coping and mindfulness strategies.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I often include mindfulness techniques in sessions to help clients stay present, reconnect with their bodies, and notice and acknowledge emotions with gentleness and without judgement. Through grounding exercises, mindful breathing, and self-compassion practices, I help women reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and feel more at peace.
