I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I received my master's degree at Holy Family University and am currently a doctoral candidate. I have worked with adults with varying concerns for 4 years in the Greater Philadelphia area. I have worked with persons with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health. Recently, the Breining Insititute has certified me as a Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist (CCDS). I have worked with LGBTQIA+ individuals both as a volunteer and in practice and can help with many related concerns. I have experience with various diagnoses but view each client as a person and not a diagnosis. I work with each client collaboratively on the goals you set to help you meet them.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Initial sessions are a time to introduce ourselves and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We can begin with some background information and then move into setting goals you want to achieve in our follow-up sessions. Then, moving forward, I will walk through your concerns with you and help you meet your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience in various settings has allowed me to see each client holistically. I believe you are more than a diagnosis or a symptom. I will help you find your strengths and empower you to meet your goals. I am open-minded and provide compassionate, judgment-free care. I welcome all walks of life and all the challenges you may be facing. I can help you walk through your fear and your emotions and promote resilience.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I work primarily from a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) framework while maintaining a client-centered approach. I integrate skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and often use Motivational Interviewing to aid in change. Mindfulness underlies all of my practice.
