Hello and Welcome To Grow: My name is Jesse Jarman and I am a clinical social worker licensed in Maryland. I have been in the field for 16 years and have provided therapy since 2013. I have experience with a multitude of problems and issues that we as human beings face. At the end of the day I am here to help you better learn to problem solve, develop coping mechanisms, and at least relieve some of the turmoil that mental health/situational issues can present. I am energetic, dedicated, and eager to assist in helping you to meet your goals. After all, we are all works in progress just at different stages in our journies. Please choose me to aid you with your journey to wellness. I come from a Strength-Based approach to utilizing CBT and other Evidence-Based Practices. I have experience with addictions, mood disorders, circadian rhythmic disorders, psychotic disorders, Veterans, Developmental Disabilities, and other serious ailments that we experience over our lifetimes. I have worked for state governments in public mental health and serving those who served. Thank you and hope I can be the person to help you achieve your goals or at least be less sad!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
After your first session, you have begun the work. The most change takes place between the time that the individual seeks help and then completes the intake. After the first session, you will have an understanding of the direction of treatment. Over time you will learn coping skills and work to correct negative thought patterns and identify how to manage those thoughts. Each session will build upon the next and help to strengthen your relationship with yourself and your environment/reality.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I help to shape individual's and empower them to make better decisions and truely learn ways to improve self. I really like to look at each session as a place for growth not only for you but for myself to improve my skills as you improve yours. I hope to keep things simple so that they are achievable and individuals feel a sense of accomplishment over time.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use multiple models and theories of practice and tailor them to each individual.
