Hello there. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, dedicated to helping individuals find hope while experiencing various life challenges. I teach clients how to calm their inner storm through holistic approaches such as mindfulness, meditation, creative expression, and body movement. I provide therapy that encourages self-compassion, acceptance, and resiliency. My experience includes assisting clients in community mental health, persons with various forms of trauma, and clients adjusting to challenging life transitions/life stress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect an open conversation about your background, what brings you to therapy, what stressors or life events are causing concern, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we will create goals that will help you reach the desired outcomes you wish to see. You will also get to know more about the therapeutic process, and how it can be helpful for your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths include my therapeutic approach and dedication to professional development. I am dedicated to providing high quality services through participating in ongoing educational trainings that relate to my specialties and clinical interests. I value creating a safe place where clients feel seen, heard, and felt. I often share with clients “We will do the work, and find humor as we go”.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has helped clients identify and change unhelpful thinking and emotional patterns, so that they can thrive in every day life. I use CBT to encourage self reflection and curiosity, while clients discover the root causes of outdated patterns and beliefs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT provides a tool box of skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT has helped clients learn how to cope and address life circumstances effectively in real time. In therapy, I use DBT to show clients that there is always an alternative way to look at and manage life challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide client-centered therapy that is compassionate, open and safe. I encourage clients to trust in the autonomy they have over their life choices and actions. It may feel scary to do life alone, which is where having a safe space to share and brainstorm options is important.
