Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Kentucky. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I received my Masters from the University of the Cumberlands and have been practicing for 4 years. I help adults who are facing a wide-range of challenges. I want to help make life less messy than it needs to be.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I take into account your unique circumstance when deciding which evidence based treatment model to offer. My clients also appreciate my transparency and explanation along the way. A true partnership is my approach - and that means mutual trust. I take into consideration the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual parts of our human experience.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is my belief that people are resilient. The human experience is beautiful, painful, and hard. Situations arise that can impact the way we view the world, other people, and especially ourselves. Seeing a therapist is a brave step in discovering the current reality. I would be honored to meet you and walk this journey alongside you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be a brief approach to increase control over thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I think it is important for clients to understand and challenge automatic thoughts. Clients will learn practical strategies to improve their situation and experience healing.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

There are some clients who would benefit from ACT so that is the approach taken. ACT will be utilized, when necessary, to help the client by learning how to adopt a non-judgmental relationship to your thoughts.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT assumes that the client is an expert on their own lives. This approach is goal-oriented and helps the client achieve results and goals in a short amount of time. In this approach, the therapist will help the client leverage the parts of their life that are going well.
