Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDCi) based in Texas. I understand how overwhelming it is to feel anxiety, depression, or grief especially when you are navigating adjustment issues or facing relationship struggles. If you need someone to listen to you without judgment and understand our culture or your children are having difficulty settling into a school, a new city, or a country, I can provide a supportive space for you and them. Despite our life journeys, therapy offers a safe place to process emotions and find strength in our unique perspectives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our sessions are scheduled for 53-60 minutes. During the first session, I will verbally go over the paperwork the client electronically signed and provide answers to any questions. The session will be open for conversations whatever the client would like to talk about. The client will have an opportunity to share what she/he/they would like to get out of the therapy experience. I will listen and ask thoughtful questions and offer tools that could be helpful for the client's needs. At the end of the session, the client will be invited to schedule the next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As an immigrant to America with experience living on multiple continents, I bring a unique perspective to our sessions. By respecting your unique experience, we can develop care plans that enhance the quality of life you deserve. I'm committed to listening & assisting you to navigate life's challenges. I speak English, Nepali, Newari, Hindi and Urdu.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Integrating collaborative dialogic practice (CDP) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in my work as a therapist has been a transformative approach. CDP sets the foundation by fostering a collaborative and respectful therapeutic relationship, where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and process their events in life. Together, we can tailor care plans that will enable them to continue their life journey.
