Former active duty Navy, I am very passionate about a sound philosophy of unity that can bring people closer to their goals. Since we are not born with an instruction manual it is important to better understand who we are and how we operate. You can only use something so far as you are familiar with it and not an inch further and this is the truth for your strengths and weaknesses. I would love to help others better understand this process and see how much good can be produced when we learn to overcome our weaknesses with our strengths.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial first session will be an intake which will be information giving and gathering. During the intake I will ask about what your therapy goals are and specific things that may have gotten in the way of achieving them. Will then discuss the process that will be taken in therapy to be able to understand how we will maneuver to progress using therapy concepts.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist I listen to what a person is saying, it gives insight to how thoughts operate. From there I can reverse engineer the words to understand what strength or weakness was used to best understand a course of action as a solution. I can provide an individual finger print to a persons use of strengths or weakness, that lead to thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Understanding that valid emotions do not mean that they are the most appropriate. Truth can be found in three different categories of thought, either positive, negative or neutral. Truth can be spoken from all three so the solution is not to look for the truth through the lense of our weaknesses, rather looking for the truth through the lense of our strengths. So the most appropriate alternative would be to find validity in a source of thought that was created from your strengths from which a person has found beneficial in the past.

My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I use REBT, solution focused and narritive therapy all rolled into one to create a road map to understand old habits that took you further from your goals and identifying alternative habits that will serve to get you closer to your goals. This is a structured yet very flexible approach. This method can be used for individual goals or relationship goals.
