I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, clinical assessment, and culturally responsive and affirming therapy. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ young adults and adults who are navigating anxiety, identity exploration, relationship patterns, and major life transitions. I offer a space that is affirming, non‑judgmental, and rooted in genuine understanding of queer and trans experiences. I also have experience working with youth involved in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, as well as supporting families navigating complex medical needs, helping them manage emotional stressors, access resources, and build resilience through challenging circumstances. I believe that each client is the expert of their own life, and I strive to meet every individual exactly where they are in each session. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on helping clients identify their goals, build on their strengths, and move forward with confidence and clarity. I assist clients in approaching their goals from a strengths-based perspective to foster emotional safety, healing, and growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my priority is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. We’ll begin by reviewing client confidentiality and its limitations, so you understand your rights and the boundaries of our work together. We’ll then explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any challenges you’re currently facing. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background and needs, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. I meet every client where they are and move at a pace that feels right for you. This session is also a chance for us to assess whether we’re a good fit to build a strong therapeutic relationship. If I believe your needs would be better served by a different provider or approach, or you feel this way, I’ll offer thoughtful referrals to ensure you receive the best possible care. My goal is to ensure you receive the services that best fits your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My work is grounded in a warm, humanistic, and trauma‑informed approach, meeting clients where they are while creating a space that is safe, affirming, and rooted in trust. I focus on strengths and empowerment, helping clients feel supported without being defined by their challenges. I bring broad experience from hospitals, schools, juvenile detention centers, and community settings, supporting clients through identity exploration, coming out, medical and systemic trauma, and complex family dynamics. As a neurodivergent LGBTQ+ therapist, I offer lived experience, cultural humility, and deep commitment to inclusive care, along with a strong understanding of the unique stressors faced by caregivers and helping professionals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support LGBTQ+ young adults who are navigating anxiety, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are seeking a safe, affirming space to better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships. I often work with LGBTQ+ individuals, including trans and gender‑diverse clients, who are processing coming out experiences, internalized shame, complex family dynamics, or the emotional impact of systemic and relational trauma. I also support young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and attachment‑related concerns, particularly those who notice patterns in dating or relationships they want to better understand and shift. Additionally, I enjoy working with caregivers, helping professionals, and emerging clinicians who are feeling emotionally depleted and want support from a therapist who understands the demands of caregiving and service‑oriented work. My clients are typically looking for a therapist who will meet them where they are, honor their lived experiences, and walk alongside them with warmth, curiosity, and expertise.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with youth, young adults, and families impacted by trauma, TF-CBT is one of the core treatment models I use in my practice. I integrate Trauma-Informed Care into every aspect of my practice by recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship. I have received formal training and certification in TF-CBT, and I’ve applied this model in both clinical and community-based settings. This method is used to reduce trauma-related symptoms like anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. TF-CBT is not just a method I use, it's a framework that aligns with my trauma-informed, strengths-based philosophy of care.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally Sensitive Therapy is a foundational part of my clinical approach. As a therapist who is a dedicated lifelong learner and has worked with diverse populations across clinical, medical, school, and community-based settings, I understand that culture deeply influences how individuals experience mental health, express emotions, and seek support. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from a wide range of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds. The diverse populations I have served have shaped my commitment to cultural humility and responsiveness. In my practice, I: honor each client’s cultural identity and explore how it intersects with their mental health experiences, adapt therapeutic interventions to align with clients’ values, beliefs, and communication styles, create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected, collaborate with families and communities to ensure culturally appropriate care and support, continuously engage in self-reflection and education to challenge biases and expand my cultural competence. Whether I’m working with a trans young adult, immigrant families, or individuals navigating intergenerational trauma, I approach each client with curiosity, respect, and a deep appreciation for their lived experience.

Gender-affirming therapy

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am deeply committed to providing gender-affirming therapy that celebrates and supports each client’s identity, expression, and lived experience. My practice is a safe, inclusive space where individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations can explore their journey, process challenges, and build resilience without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. In addition to my clinical work, I have advocated for the LGBTQ+ community through involvement with a local nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness for young individuals who have been ostracized due to their gender identity or sexual orientation. I am also a proud participant in the Compass Center’s LGBTQ Mental Health Collaboration to strengthen the community of mental health professionals supporting our community in Palm Beach County. These experiences fuel my passion for advocacy, equity, and healing, and they deeply inform the affirming, empowering care I provide to every client.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy into my work to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and present-moment grounding, especially when navigating trauma, anxiety, or stress. Drawing from my experience with children, families, and individuals in high-stress environments, I use mindfulness techniques such as guided breathing, grounding exercises, and body awareness to support clients in reconnecting with themselves and building resilience in their daily lives.

Somatic

I integrate somatic techniques into therapy because trauma is not only held in our thoughts and emotions, but also stored in the body. Using body‑based awareness, grounding, and nervous system regulation, I help clients gently notice physical sensations, patterns, and responses that may reflect past stress or trauma. This approach allows healing to happen beyond talk therapy alone, supporting clients in building a greater sense of safety, connection, and self‑trust. Somatic work is always collaborative and paced to the client, ensuring it feels empowering rather than overwhelming. By tuning into the body alongside the mind, clients can access deeper insight, release stored tension, and develop tools for long‑term emotional regulation.
