I'm Funmi Kwentua, a passionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a doctoral degree, dedicated to supporting individuals aged 12 and above who grapple with chronic mental health challenges. My mission is to substantially enhance their quality of life through holistic, evidence-based care. In my practice, I prioritize fostering collaborative relationships with clients, striving to create personalized treatment plans that combine medication management and psychotherapy. My ultimate goal is to empower you to attain better mental health and a higher quality of life through compassionate and effective interventions grounded in evidence.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In the initial session with me, the focus is on building rapport, conducting a comprehensive assessment, discussing concerns and goals, providing psychoeducation, developing a treatment plan, addressing questions and concerns, and establishing follow-up appointments. This collaborative approach prioritizes the client's needs and preferences, aiming to develop a tailored treatment plan to support their mental health and well-being.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Having worked for several years in mental health, I am very client centered. Developing a rapport with my clients takes top priority.
