Hello, I'm Jeremey. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my M.S. Degree from California Lutheran University and have been in practice for 7 years. I have worked within a variety of settings, including community mental health, residential, non-profit organizations. In my experience I have seen how providing service and working in collaboration with others can create meaningful changes to people's lives. I look forward to being present with you on the journey to healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will start with brief introductions, and discuss some of the specific challenges that led you to therapy. We will get to establish a baseline and understanding for where you are on your path. This will help me to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions and in collaboration we will tailor treatment to best fit your individual needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my greatest strengths as a provider include being relatable, able to build rapport, attuning to the client's in the moment, providing empathy, humility, providing space for you to be the main agent of healing, growth, and change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I understand the unique challenge that can be opening up to someone about personal thoughts, unprocessed emotions, experiences that cause suffering. I am best positioned to serve client's that are looking for a therapist that is personable, actively listens, non judgmental, provides space for you to process things, offers validation, empathy, care, so that you can better navigate your therapeutic journey. Currently only accepting individuals for therapy. I enjoy working with client's who are seeking community, are open to exploring situations through different viewpoints, want to work through their emotions, reorient themselves from past experiences, improve their self-confidence, and take steps towards small or big improvements.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Personal judgments, self-appraisals, perceptions of emotional states, belief systems are examples of cognitive processes that are formulated over the course of our lives and affect the way the we approach situations and lead our lives. The more knowledgeable we become when learning about our cognitive processes the better we become at regulating our emotions, thoughts, feelings, adjusting our behavior to more closely align with our core values, improving our ability to follow through with and execute on desired courses of action.

Humanistic

Humanistic therapy, focuses on a person’s individual nature. I use this approach in my practice to meet with you where you are at, to help you connect to your intuition, wisdom, build positive traits, find personal meaning, growth, and support on your path to healing.

Trauma Informed Care

Incorporating a framework for trauma informed care a large emphasis of my practice is placed on establishing safety, tools for stabilization, and a pathway towards re-connection. I utilize trauma informed care to help people who have experienced negative consequences after exposure to traumatic experiences, to reduce the likelihood of further harm, and create a safe environment for healing and growth.
