Hi there and welcome. I am Yvette - a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC). I specialize in helping adults and seniors through life transitions by offering a compassionate and safe space to explore and reflect on their current emotions and develop strategies to navigate change with confidence and clarity. I have a professional background in a medical environment, supporting patients through major medical decisions, stressful life transitions, new parenthood, anxiety, depression, and loss.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I'll be gathering more information about your current needs and what you hope to get out of therapy. Together we will create a personalized plan to work on for ongoing sessions. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions and assess if we are a good fit as it is important to me that clients are comfortable!

I believe in being genuine, present, and attentive to each individual's needs. I believe in a collaborative approach with individuals to meet their goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and laid-back environment to explore client's thoughts and feelings. I am able to understand my clients based on personal and professional experience and do my best to meet my clients where they are.

I enjoy working with clients who may be new to therapy and want to learn ways to manage their stressors. I am most equipped to work with clients who are feeling anxious, depressed or scared about a recent life stressor . My clients are eager to improve, but often are overwhelmed, worried or hopeless about their future.
