I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California with 17 years of experience in child welfare and forensic behavioral health. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from San Jose State University and have had the privilege of supporting youth and families through emotional, legal, and systemic challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion, clinical integrity, and deep respect for each person’s unique story. As a trilingual practitioner fluent in Oromo, Amharic, and English, I bring cultural humility to my work and value the richness that diversity brings to the therapeutic relationship.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other and discuss the challenges that brought you to therapy. I’ll listen closely to understand your needs, and together, we’ll build a personalized plan to guide our work. I aim to co-create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe healing begins in a trusting, respectful relationship. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in your strengths. I strive to meet you exactly where you are—whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking support in navigating life’s complexities.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with older adults facing loss, change, life transitions, or emotional challenges. I offer support with warmth, dignity, and understanding. I am also passionate about supporting young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and transitions into independence.

My treatment methods

Integrative

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy to create an approach tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy should be both insightful and action-based. My integrative model allows us to: Understand and reframe unhelpful thought patterns; Identify practical steps toward positive change, and explore how relationships and life transitions impact your emotional well-being. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain, I provide a space where you can be heard, supported, and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is evidence and skill based therapy module. I used it with clients for many years and witnessed the benefits first hand. It helps client gain practical skill and gain perspective on the life challenges that brought them to therapy.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Foster a therapeutic environment that empowers clients to engage and take charge of their own healing.
