I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field for 11 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort in relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. "You're Braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem. and Smarter than you think." - A.A. Milne

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will focus on expectations and reasons for wanting to begin working together! I will ask for some background information and also share some of my own. I believe getting to know one another and learning about both my style of counseling and your reasons for seeking treatment allow for us to form a general understanding of what working together would look like.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I like to talk with you versus talk at you! I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have gravitated throughout the last few years towards the young adult population. I feel this phase of life can be so overwhelming and exhausting at times to navigate without proper supports in place. The pressures and stressors that individuals face during this transitional phase of life are very unique. I find it important to allow for young adults to have a space where they can address specific challenges related to facing new responsibilities and learning how to be successful in their day to day lives.
