Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Connecticut. I have 6 + years of experience working with children and adolescents on an inpatient hospital unit and their home-based setting as an IICAPS Clinician. I received my Masters from UCONN School of Social Work in 2020. Working with clients I focus on utilizing a strengths-based approach to improve self-esteem, adaptive functioning, and maintaining secure relationships with others. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll start with introductions and spend time getting to know each other, then we will dive into the challenges that are impacting your daily functioning and areas you wish to improve. Utilizing this information we will establish an individualized engagement treatment plan to continue to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with children, adolescents, and families I’ve developed a skill set of strengths-based techniques that support open and honest reflection, positive communication skills, conflict resolution, and provide support to clients while building their individualized toolbox of coping skills for access through future experiences.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with children and adolescents navigating life transitions, family changes, and managing psychosocial expectations to support and strengthen their sense of self, and confidence within new situations. My clients express feeling like they are in a state of disequilibrium and wish to strengthen their skills to return to a state of homeostasis.

My treatment methods

Play Therapy

I have used Play Therapy techniques in my practice with children for 4 years, utilizing therapeutic skills within the play to support processing and resolving psychosocial conflicts and stressors impacting behavioral and emotional symptoms.

Attachment-based

Our childhood experiences are the fundamental principle that guides our ability to manage stressors, and relationships and navigate life's everyday challenges in the present. Focusing on early interpersonal relationships, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors during sessions to strengthen the capacity for secure relationships and improve adaptive functioning.

Family Therapy

Working with families for over 4 years to address family-based conflicts impacting the individual and the family unit I have become proficient in guiding family sessions utilizing family-specific tools to promote positive communication skills, empathy, and family cohesiveness.
