Hi, I'm Amelia. I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in Westlake Village, California. I’m driven by passion and a powerful calling to serve women. I help women raised by emotionally unavailable mothers to heal their hearts and become the moms they always wanted so that their kids will never question their love for them. You can re-write your story. You deserve all the good the world has to offer.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect that I will have taken the time to read through all the documents and assessments that were sent to you. I will be ready to give you the time and space to share what is on your mind and the goals you seek from our time together. Once I know your goals, I can create a plan tailored to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Mom to 10 adult kids, I understand motherhood is the most challenging job on the planet. I also understand how rewarding it can be. The word I hear most from clients when describing me is "nurturing." Through therapy, I’ve been instrumental in helping individuals transform their lives by inviting them to give themselves the love they so freely give to others.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Ever wonder why you attract the same type of people in your life? How we were attached to our childhood caregivers often shows up in our current relationships. By examining our relational habits and patterns, we can understand ourselves and change how we interact in relationships.

Christian Counseling

Christian clients want to know that their therapist will support and validate their values. As your therapist, I want to provide you with the best therapy experience aligned to honor your faith and beliefs.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Understanding how our thoughts influence our feelings, body, and behaviors helps clients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking to view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them more effectively.

Trauma Informed Care

Using Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) promotes a dissociative experience, making it ideal to explore situations and events that have been hidden beneath the surface.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Hispanic individuals find it comforting to know that their therapist understands the cultural and spiritual norms of Latino families.
