Welcome! My name is Tricia Baker, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing telehealth services throughout California. Have you been struggling with thoughts and emotions that feel like a flood of negativity? Anxiety and depression can create a discouraging feeling of powerlessness. Throughout my career, I have assisted clients in the management of anxious thoughts, challenging negative beliefs that are holding them back, building confidence, and addressing difficulties in maintaining fulfilling relationships. Through our work together, my main goal is to help you gain relief from symptoms and to experience greater life satisfaction. My approach is grounded in the belief that every individual has the potential to grow and change and is deserving of acceptance.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Through observations of your emotional and behavioral patterns, I will provide you with insight that will assist you in breaking cycles that may no longer be serving you. I will help you to uncover how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect your life experiences. I will also assist you in exploring how current reactions are impacted by past experiences and to reduce the harmful impact of shame.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I feel that my greatest strength as a therapist is creating a trusting, non-judgmental, safe space in which my clients feel heard and empowered. Together, we will work towards developing healthier habits, recognizing the strengths you already possess, and utilizing new strategies and skills. I would be honored to be a collaborative partner in your journey to creating meaningful change in your life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in treating adults who are overwhelmed by worry, fear and low self-worth. I help clients to identify the root causes of the critical voices in their heads and to challenge messages that feel like a flood of constant self-criticism and self-doubt. Additionally, I work with clients seeking to reduce the negative impacts of traumatic stress on the mind and body. Together, we will work collaboratively to develop healthier habits, track your progress, recognize your growth, and celebrate milestones.
Trauma Informed Care
As a Level 1 Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist, I can help you to re-establish a sense of safety, identify triggers, and reduce traumatic stress symptoms.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques to assist clients in identifying, acknowledging and accepting the full range of emotions that may surface in response to life's stressors. Through learning to accept our feelings as opposed to denying or struggling with them, we can learn to be mindful in the present moment and to live life in accordance with our own self-identified values.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I employ CBT techniques to assist clients in challenging and replacing thoughts that may be keeping them in a negative feedback loop. By helping clients to identify thinking patterns that are not serving them, they can begin to experience greater self acceptance and make positive behavioral changes.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My overall goal as a therapist is to first and foremost create a safe, validating and nonjudgmental space for self-exploration. Through use of Person-Centered techniques, I strive to assist clients in increasing self-awareness and uncovering how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect their life experiences.

I’ve never worked with a better provider! Tricia makes me feel seen and heard in every session. She’s incredibly warm, empowering, and encouraging, and never once have I felt judged. Her support has made such a positive impact on me.

I feel so comfortable, supported, and understood by my therapist. She has helped me to understand myself better and find solutions in an approachable and manageable way. Even when I go into a session worried I won't know what to talk about, it always ends up being a great productive meeting. I look forward to my sessions.

I’ve had a total of three therapists in my life and I’ve failed to feel that connection, growth and understanding. For a long time I felt like what I had wanted in a therapist didn’t exist but I was totally wrong with Tricia. She has helped me break down barriers and understand my trauma that I didn’t realize I had. Nothing is repetitive, we pick up where we left off like no time passed between sessions. I’ve mentioned her by name to so many people who discuss therapy with me, because she’s simply amazing. Not sure where I’d be without her- for sure struggling!
