Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Coral Gables, FL. I received my Masters from Nova Southeastern University and have been practicing since 2017. I help parents whose children are struggling with behavior challenges, emotional regulation, and following directions. Using approaches like Play Therapy and PCIT, I work with families to help children manage big feelings and build a stronger, more connected parent-child relationship. In addition to working with children and families, I have experience supporting young adults navigating life transitions, stress, and emotional challenges, helping them build confidence, resilience, and clarity in their goals. I also work with the geriatric population, providing compassionate support around issues like grief, loss, adjustment to life changes, and mental wellness in later life. I tailor my approach to each stage of life, offering a warm, respectful space for growth, healing, and connection.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll start with a warm, conversational check-in to get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what’s bringing you in, and we’ll use simple screening tools to better understand the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll explore your history, start identifying your goals, and begin to map out a plan for moving forward. I don’t have a magic wand to instantly fix everything—but we’ll work as a team to problem-solve and find ways to help you feel better and create meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with children, parents, young adults, and the geriatric population for the past [X years], I’ve developed a supportive, collaborative approach that helps you (a) understand the root of your challenges and (b) create a personalized plan that leads to real, lasting change—whether that’s improving child behavior, navigating life transitions, or building stronger emotional well-being at any stage of life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with parents and their children who are facing challenges like emotional regulation, behavior struggles, and disconnection. My clients want to help their children thrive but often feel overwhelmed and unsure how to respond effectively. I guide families in building stronger relationships, helping children manage big feelings and follow directions, while empowering parents with tools that create lasting change. I also enjoy working with young adults navigating the pressures of early adulthood—career stress, life transitions, and uncertainty about the future. They’re motivated to grow but often feel stuck or anxious, and I help them build confidence, resilience, and clarity. Additionally, I support the geriatric population through life’s later transitions, offering a compassionate space to process grief, loss, and change, while maintaining emotional wellness and a sense of connection.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core part of my practice, helping clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. With training and experience applying CBT across issues like anxiety, depression, and stress, I focus on teaching practical skills to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and promote meaningful behavior change. I value CBT’s structured, goal-oriented approach and tailor it to each client’s needs, emphasizing collaboration, real-life application, and long-term skill-building.

Play Therapy

I use Play Therapy to support children in expressing emotions, processing experiences, and building coping skills in a developmentally appropriate way. Through my training and experience, I’ve seen how play offers a safe space for children to explore their inner world when words are hard to find. I tailor my approach to each child’s needs, using play-based techniques to foster emotional regulation, problem-solving, and connection, while involving caregivers as part of the therapeutic process when appropriate.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

I use Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to strengthen the parent-child relationship and improve challenging behaviors in young children. Through specialized training in PCIT, I guide parents in real time using live coaching techniques to help them build positive interactions, set effective limits, and support emotional regulation. I value PCIT’s structured, evidence-based approach and its focus on empowering caregivers with tools that create lasting change both in and outside of session.
