I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in 4 states. I graduated in 2005 from Missouri State University. I am passionate about what I do and the clients I serve. I am creative and think outside the box to help you find your truth, resolve your stressors and create lasting change in your life. I serve a diverse population from infants and primary caregivers, young children, adolescents, teens and adults.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I want your first experience with me to be relaxed and collaborative. I promise to review your documents so I am up to speed regarding your concerns before we meet. My motto for therapy is "You lead...I follow". This time is yours and I want to provide a space where you can explore, process, resolve and thrive. Let's start YOUR journey together!!!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is my diversity and flexibility to be creative to meet your goals and needs. I have 20 years experience helping people create resolutions and bring lasting peace to their lives. It gets messy but I will stay with you every step of the way. I am not afraid to find new and inventive ways to help. Let's think outside the box. Therapy doesn't have to be scary or intimidating.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

An attachment-based approach to therapy looks at the connection between an infant's early attachment experiences with primary caregivers, usually with parents, and the infant's ability to develop normally and ultimately form healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult.

Somatic

This body-centric approach works by helping to release stress, tension, and trauma from the body. Breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation can help a person find some relief throughout their everyday life.

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy is a form of talk therapy where the client is the storyteller. The story may include trauma, pain, and stressors from the past or present. The practitioner encourages the client to have the mindset of a survivor rather than a victim.

Eclectic

Eclectic Therapy is a therapy approach that draws the most relevant techniques from other evidence-based therapy modalities together for an effective, individualized treatment plan. Eclectic Therapists value the fact that each client is unique and has unique needs in therapy.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy or counselling that aims at addressing the needs of adults, children and adolescents with post traumatic stress disorder and other difficulties related to traumatic life events.
