Hi! I am a bilingual licensed Mental Health Therapist in Florida. I attended The University of South Florida. I have been in practice since 2012, I have provided support to clients needing assistance with concerns including, but not limited to trauma, stress, anxiety, workplace stress, depression and other concerns when life just happens. I hold extensive experience in working with survivors/ victims of abuse and trauma including domestic violence, victims of crime, and those who suffer Post traumatic Stress disorders

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session, we will build rapport and introduce ourselves. I will ask questions to understand what you're struggling with and what brought you in to therapy. You'll likely talk about some of your past (family history, traumatic experiences) and how your symptoms or feelings are manifesting today, and how long they have been showing up. From there we will begin identifying your specific goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with different clients , I have developed the skills necessary such as building trust, listening, congruency, empathizing with your struggles, empowering, and creating a healthy safe place to help you process your experiences.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT generally focuses on specific problems, using a goal-oriented approach. As you go through the therapy process, your may be asked to do homework — activities, reading or practices that build on what you learn during your regular therapy sessions — and encourage you to apply what you are learning in your daily life. Your therapist's approach will depend on your particular situation and preferences. Your therapist may combine CBT with another therapeutic approach — for example, interpersonal therapy, which focuses on your relationships with other people.

EMDR

EMDR therapy uses bilateral stimulation while an individual is re-processing the specific trauma in a safe and comfortable environment in order to allow the brain’s natural ability to heal from traumatic stress, reduce anxiety, or other distressed emotional states . This is achieved by safely performing side-to-side eye movements whilst thinking of a traumatic memory, engaging both sides of the brain (bilateral stimulation). This

Christian Counseling

Biblical counseling gets its motivations, hopes, content, methods, and power from God and according to His Word. For Biblical counseling to be rooted in God, it must acknowledge God as the Creator of all things, uphold the sovereignty and authority of God, remain confident in God’s eternal work in His people, rely upon God’s Word for knowledge, wisdom and direction, embrace characteristic’s of God’s counsel including compassion, patience, wisdom and mercy, and be devoted to God’s glory.
