I am here to help serve you to become a better, healed version of yourself. I work collaboratively with you to achieve goals you want to accomplish for yourself, while providing guidance and if needed, gently nudging, to help you become the best you! Therapy works best when we can work together, and I want to do what I can to help you achieve your own goals!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be spent getting background information on each other, the main reason you wanted to start therapy, and some simple coping skills to help with whatever is causing distress so that you have something to take away from even the first session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I try very hard to create a positive therapeutic alliance, so I spend time getting to know you before I try to do or say anything that might seem “judgmental,” because until I have learned more about you, I cannot help you navigate your situation. Having that trust and rapport is most important!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with someone who is willing to put in work and hold themselves accountable. I am a straight forward person in therapy, so I appreciate full honesty from clients as well, as that helps me to help you in the best ways you need.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This evidence-based approach to changing one’s thoughts creates lasting positive effects in how one feels and acts. We work together to help target troublesome recurring thoughts and challenge those negative thoughts to overcome them with positive thoughts. You learn positive coping skills to create lasting change even when the therapeutic relationship has concluded.

EMDR

This evidence-based approach helps to have the mind (where thoughts occur) and the brain (how the body responds) work together to re-process traumatic events in a non-threatening manner so that one can be de-sensitized to the triggers and learn to cope in a more positive way to gain back positive daily life functioning.

Christian Counseling

Use of Christian principles and Bible teaching to aid in managing life stresses and difficulties.
