Welcome! I'm Alice Bouhadir, a licensed therapist with over 30 years of experience! I am so happy you have taken the first step in reaching out for help. I am here to support you through your journey! I realize starting therapy can be scary and confusing, however, it can also be so empowering and bring about many positive changes to your life. You will have a safe and welcoming environment, which will allow you to feel comfortable and be able to focus on whatever you are wanting to address. I create an environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings, without fear of judgement! Developing a trusting relationship is key to a therapeutic relationship!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions. I then start with your permission, gathering a background history. The more information I can obtain from you, the better I will be able to help you. We will then review the specific challenges you are facing, which have brought you to therapy. This will then help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Having worked as a therapist for many years, I am easily able to identify the root cause of your challenges. I have a great deal of compassion and empathy and continue to love the work that I do.

CBT is an extremely helpful way in treating many mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, it can help anyone benefit and learn to better manage stressful life situations that we all encounter. You will learn techniques for coping with stressful situations, identify and manage your emotions, learn better ways to communicate and resolve relationship conflicts, it helps with grief and loss, overcoming emotional trauma, and helps to prevent relapses of mental illness symptoms.
