Let me help you! I am a dual-board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from SUNY Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2004. Shortly thereafter, I obtained my master’s degree while working in an acute care setting for four years. I graduated and obtained my certification as a family nurse practitioner in 2007. I have worked in internal medicine, family medicine, and urgent care. Through my years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have seen the impact mental health conditions have on my patients’ overall physical health. To provide a more comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care, I pursued postgraduate studies in psychiatric mental at the University of Cincinnati. With both certifications and experience, I have a keen understanding of both physical and mental health/mental illness and how it affects our well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Treating and assessing for mental illness is an ongoing assessment. From your first visit, we will develop a mutual treatment plan of how to address your concerns.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilized a comprehensive and holistic approach to treating children, adolescents and adults with mental health/illness concerns. I consider different treatment modalities such as mindfulness, psychotherapy, exercise, and some homeopathic treatments when appropriate.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy working with children ages 5 and older, adolescents and adults. With my dual certifications, enjoy incorporating physical health and mental health, especially since they directly affect each other. I have an interest in caring for all ages with mental disabilities. My other interest is caring for clients with mental health and underline complex medical conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), diabetes, autoimmune disorder, etc.
